Members of Icelandic post-rock band have joined the cast of Game Of Thrones in Dubrovnik for the filming of the fourth season of the hit HBO series.
According to music portal muzika.hr, Jón Pór ‘Jónsi’ Birgisson, Georg Hólm and Orri Páll Dýrason will appear in teh series in so far unknown roles. Entertainment Weekly speculates that the band members may put their musical abilities to use in their appearance something which has yet to be confirmed, ”Thrones showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss are longtime fans of Sigur Rós and would often listen to their music while shooting in Iceland (one of several countries used in the production of the show).”
The National as well as members of Coldplay and Snow Patrol have all been involved with the show’s soundtracks in previous series.
