Sir Roger Moore, James Bond Agent, Dies Aged 89

The world has lost anther amazing actor – Sir Roger Moore, one of the first James Bond agents, passed away aged 89, his family announced. He played in seven 007 films, including Live and Let Die and the Spy Who Loved Me – in total: The Man With Golden Gun (1974.), The Spy Who Loved Me (1977.), Moonraker (1979.), For Your Eyes Only (1981.), Octopussy (1983.) and A View to a Kill (1985.).

Sir Roger’s family confirmed the news on Twitter, stating he died after ‘a short but brave battle with cancer’. Sir Roger Moore was a great lover of Dubrovnik and a narrator and active participant of the chamber music festival ‘Julian Rachlin and Friends’ which brought many international stars to our town.

He was remembered as a kind person with charming personality among the people of Dubrovnik.
