Dubrovnik Astronomical Society, Ruder Boskovic Institute, organized a public observation of the solar eclipse through a telescope with special solar filter. That enabled numerous crowd to observe this beautiful appearance without adverse consequences.
Astronomers and a great number of locals and tourists came to see this miracle of nature through the telescope; everyone wanted to see what happens when the Moon shields the Sun.
Solar Eclipse is a celestial phenomenon when the Moon completely or partially hides away the Sun. Maximal eclipse that was seen in Croatia happened around 10.40 am when the Moon covered about 45 percent of the Sun.
The next such phenomenon will occur in 2020.
