This hot and steamy weather doesn’t seem to be letting us out of its grip. Although The State Hydrometeorological Institute had previously warned us of very high temperatures for the Dubrovnik area, there were still those who, due to obligations or personal enjoyment, still roamed the streets of the historic centre. Every bit of shade inside the walls was perfectly well utilized both by people and animals. It’s hard to find any kind of relief under the direct sun, so the water from the Onofrio’s Fountain – which is the best water in Town, and a bit of ice cream, served as lifelines in this relentless heat.
