Spectacular Opera Gala to Round Off a Fantastic Festival Season in Dubrovnik

We are counting down hours until the official end of this year’s Dubrovnik Summer Festival. The 40 days of its fabulous drama, music, dance, and other performances will perfectly be rounded off on Wednesday, August 25, at 10 p.m. in front of the Cathedral with a grand gala concert featuring superb international and Croatian music artists.

Famous coloratura soprano Diana Damrau and bass Nicolas Testé will be sharing the stage with the young Croatian tenor Roko Radovan and the Croatian Radio and Television Orchestra, an indispensable part of the final Festival concert, this time under the baton of the brilliant, award-winning maestro Ivan Repušić.

The choice repertoire befitting the occasion and the performers consists of the finest works of the opera greats Wagner, Strauss, Puccini, Donizetti, Gounod, and Bellini. After the concert there will be a short closing ceremony, formally closing the 72nd Dubrovnik Summer Festival.

All Festival programmes are certified as safe gatherings, organized according to current rules and recommendations by the national and local Civil Protection Headquarters, which include maintaining physical distance and wearing a protective mask.

Tickets for this exceptional opera gala and the finale of the 72nd Festival are available for purchase at the Dubrovnik Summer Festival website www.dubrovnik-festival.hr or via www.ulaznice.hr ticketing service, and at the box office of the Festival Palace (Od Sigurate 1) from 9 a.m. to 9.30.p.m.
