Few months ago it was speculated that the popular film ‘Star Wars’ will ‘move’ to our region. Today, we got the official confirmation – The Force is coming to Dubrovnik definitely!
On that occasion, Dubrovnik mayor Andro Vlahusic went to San Francisco to meet representatives of Lucasfilm, the American film and television production company founded by George Lucas, the author of the movie saga. Star Wars crew will stay in our town from March 9th to 16th. Among the locations which are being considered for shooting are Stradun and Rector’s Palace.
The financial impact of the seventh part of the Star Wars movie currently reaches two billion and 19 million American dollars, which makes it one of the most successful films in history. The premiere of the new episode of the ‘Star Wars’ series is scheduled for 15th December 2017.
