Local organisation DEŠA held its second annual Sweet Week in time for Christmas last week. During the course of the week a variety of workshops in cake and sweet making were held for all those wishing to learn some new culinary skills. Traditional Dubrovnik delicacies including candied almonds and quince cheese were taught to attendees by various experts with a judging panel deciding on the best. Twenty two entries were judged in the quince cheese category and thirteen in the candied almonds category alone. Take a look at our photo gallery to see the difficult task facing the judging panel.
