Golden water polo Olympic players arrive on the flight from Zagreb toDubrovnik Airport tonight. Little before 23:00 pm they are coming to Stradun for a fiery reception.
The reception at Stradun in front of St. Blaise’s Church has been arranged by the City of Dubrovnik and Water Polo Club Jug. Jasmin Stavros, DJ Vjeverica and vocal groups from Dubrovnik are part of the program. As part of tonight’s festivity, the Mayor of Dubrovnik, Andro Vlahušić, has approved longer working hours to all bars and restaurants in the Old Town Dubrovnik.
Bars will work the same as in the opening night of Dubrovnik Summer Festival, till 4:00 am. The owners’ obligation is to maintain public order and ensure peace.
– All fellow citizens are invited to join us at Stradun and celebrate the big success of the Olympic gold forged in Dubrovnik and Water Polo Club Jug, say from the City of Dubrovnik.
After the celebration at Stradun, the merry party will move to Revelin for an after party.
As a reminder, eight water polo players from Dubrovnik won gold medals at the Olympics in London. Croatian national team won the Italians in the finals.
