Tickets for new events at the upcoming 74th Dubrovnik Summer Festival are released online today and are available at the Festival website www.dubrovnik-festival.hr and via www.ulaznice.hr service. In addition to new music and dance events, tickets for Komedija Theatre’s most recent hit production, Velo misto, based on Miljenko Smoje’s iconic work, which premiered in Zagreb at the beginning of March, are also available.
In the year of the hundredth anniversary of Miljenko Smoje’s birth, the characters of his Velo misto are brought to life on stage in the play is directed by Marina Pejnović, who adapted his novel. Performances on the Revelin Fort terrace are scheduled for 22, 23 and 24 August.
Revelin Fort will host another hit production, the ballet The Great Gatsby, produced by the Croatian National Theatre of Split, choreographed and directed by Leo Mujić. The plot of Francis Scott Fitzgerald’s literary masterpiece takes place in New York during the Jazz Age and performances are scheduled for 2 and 3 August.
Tickets for another five music events that will take place at the 74th Dubrovnik Summer Festival are also available: The award-winning guitarist Krešimir Bedek and the trio composed of Latica Anić, Krešimir Starčević and Marco Graziani will perform at the Rector’s Palace Atrium. The Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra and soprano Josipa Bilić will perform under the baton of Valentin Egel, and German cellist Eckart Runge will perform with pianist Martina Filjak and saxophonist Gordan Tudor. The concert programme at the Rector’s Palace will be closed with the concert of cellist Kajana Pačko and pianist Danijel Detoni.
Tickets for three performances of the Linđo Folklore Ensemble, an indispensable part of the Festival programme, are already available online.
Local ticket sales at the Festival Palace will start in June, with the following discounts available: 10% for purchases made with Mastercard® a Maestro® cards, with instalment payments available for purchases over €70. Dubrovnik-Neretva County are again eligible for a special 30% discount and additional 10% for purchases made with Mastercard i Maestro cards at the Box Office. Purchase of tickets for two theatre or three music performances provides a complimentary ticket for one repeat theatre performance or music event of choice. Students with the Croatian Student Card (X-ica) or International Student Identity Card (ISIC) can get 10% discount for up to two tickets per event. Daily DU PASS enables 10% discount, three-day enables 30%, while seven-day DU PASS enables a discount of 50% for two tickets per event.
