Once in the past fireplaces (and kitchen) were a gathering place for families and friends. People gathered around fireplaces and while children were playing, adults were tellings stories and singing. It was a great tradition that has ‘died’ through the years.
And that is why, every year at the same time, KUD St. Juraj Osojnik takes us back to those almost forgotten time with their event called ‘The Stories from Salacki Komini. This year’s stories were held under the title ‘Parcu u cast’ and it showed the customs of Osonjik and talked about two famous traditions – Kandelora and celebration of St. Blaise.
