This Year’s ‘Easter in Primorje’ Programme Presented @ Tourist Board Office

'Easter in Primorje' Includes Numerous Gastro & Traditional Events

On Thursday, April 7, a press conference was held in the main office of the Dubrovnik Tourist Board to present this year’s programme of the ‘Easter in Primorje / Uskrs u Primorju’. Easter in Primorje is held in nearby villages Gornja Sela on April 9, 10 and 23.

Ana Hrnić, Director of the Dubrovnik Tourist Board, Antonela Svilarić, Head of the Dubrovnik City Department for Tourism, , Ivica Kipre, Head of the Ethnographic Museum, and Luko Musladin, representative of the Agrotourism Association located in Gornaj Sela, spoke at the press conference.

This year’s edition of the ‘Easter in Primorje’ includes numerous events that will revive Gornja Sela and enrich the tourist offer of the city of Dubrovnik. During three days of various events, visitors will get to know the possibilities of various activities in nature, gastronomic offer of local family farms, local products sale, almost forgotten crafts, customs and oldschool traditional games.

The grand opening will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at Lokva na Gromači (Gromača is one of the Gornja Sela villages) starting at 4 pm. The occasional sale of local products is organized at the opening part of the manifestation, along with penganje – the traditional egg painting typical for Dubrovnik area and pletenje poma – palm branch weaving, organized by DEŠA Association Deša. The performance of FA Linđo and Klapa Subrenum will be held as well.

On the first day of the event, at 2.30 pm, a walking tour ‘Our ancestors’ Paths’ was organized with expert guidance for which you must pre-register by email tic.pile@tzdubrovnik.hr.

On the second day, April 10, traditional village games for children, women and men (with prizes!) are organized and will begin @3 pm, accompanied by DJ Vjeverica. Later on, a popular duo – Marko and Brane, will perform.

A presentation by Iris Lobaš Kukavičić and Lucia Emmanuela entitled ‘The Story of Drywalls’ will be held @the Orašac Youth Center on April 23 at 10 am.

Programmme for the youngest will be held at Osojnik from 3 pm and it includes creative workshops, Easter children’s games with animator Tonka Balonka, later the performance of the Dance Studio Lazareti and KUD Sv. Juraj Osojnik.

A special gourmet treat awaits you in the households of Gornja Sela villages on April 9 and 10, April 16 to 18 and April 23 and 24, where the diligent hosts of the Country Home Musladin, Agroturism Laptalo, Picnic Area Koraćevo, Konoba Knez and OPG Dubelj prepared promotional menus of 200 kuna per person. Koraćevo also offers activities such as quad and baggy rides at promotional prices, and Agroturism Laptalo also offers workshop on penganje. Reservations must be made in advance.

Free transport is organized for all events.
