Three Million Overnight Stays Seven Days Earlier

Dubrovnik breaks records, again. Three million overnight stays are realized seven days earlier than last year, Dubrovnik Tourist Board announced this week. According to the eVisitor tourist system, with no nautical data included, the three-millionth overnight stay in Dubrovnik was realized on August 21, seven days earlier than 2018, which confirms the excellent tourist season.

From January 1 to August 21, 2019, there were 980 365 arrivals in Dubrovnik, an increase of 14 percent compared to last year, and 3,000,285 overnight stays, which is 6 percent more than last year.

Since the beginning of the year, most guests visiting Dubrovnik are the ones from the United Kingdom, the United States, France, Germany, Spain, Croatia, Australia, Ireland, Italy and Finland.

Significant increases were recorded from certain markets compared to the same period last year, such as the US with an increase of 16 percent in arrivals and 16 percent in overnights, followed by France with an increase of 13 percent in arrivals and 11 percent in overnight stays, Germany with 59 percent increase in arrivals and 12 percent in overnight stays and Ireland with a 34 percent increase in arrivals and 34 percent in overnight stays.
