According to figures collected by tourist boards in the Dubrovnik County September 2013 was a sensational month in terms of tourism. A huge177,123 arrivals and 853,183 overnight stays were recorded for the month, which accounts for an 8 percent increase on figures from September 2012.
From January to the end of September 1,162,699 arrivals were registered and 5,714,730 overnight stays which is an increase of 10 percent in arrivals and 8 percent in overnight stays based on figures for that period in 2012. The number of domestic tourists staying overnight has increased by 6 percent, with a rise of 8 percent in foreign tourists’ overnight stays.
British tourists accounted for the largest number of overnight stays followed by Germans, Polish and the French.
