Tourist Traffic in Dubrovnik: October Marked by Great Numbers

There Were 95,300 Arrivals and 310,427 Overnight Stays in Dubrovnik During This October

According to the eVisitor tourist check-in and check-out system data, there were 95,300 arrivals and 310,427 overnight stays in Dubrovnik in October 2022 – 85 percent more arrivals and 65 percent more overnight stays compared to October last year. During October, foreign tourists made 87,188 arrivals and 292,246 overnight stays, while domestic tourists made 8,112 arrivals and 18,181 overnight stays.

Compared to the record year 2019, 76 percent of tourist traffic was achieved in overnight stays and 71 percent in arrivals during this October. Most of the visitors arrived from United Kingdom, USA, Germany, Croatia, France, Ireland, Finland, Netherlands and Spain.

There were 64,487 arrivals and 199,577 overnight stays in hotels and 21,934 arrivals and 82,511 overnight stays in private accommodation. On October 31, 3,990 tourists stayed in Dubrovnik compared to 63 percent on the same day in 2019, and most of them came from the United Kingdom, Germany, Croatia, USA, France, Slovenia, Austria, Ireland, Hungary and Korea.

According to data from the eVisitor tourist registration and registration system, 3,457,228 overnight stays were made in Dubrovnik from the beginning of the year to October 31, 2022, which is an increase of 85 percent compared to 2021. In the same period, there were 993,319 arrivals, which is an increase of 97 percent compared to the same period in 2021. From January 1 to October 31, 2022, most of the tourists came from United Kingdom, USA, France, Germany, Croatia, Ireland, Spain, Poland, Italy and Netherlands.

Airlines that have extended operations in the first week of the winter schedule are Austrian Airlines, Aer Lingus, easyJet, Jet2.com, Lufthansa, Transavia France, TUI Airways and Volotea. Dubrovnik Airport will be connected in the winter flight schedule, in addition to domestic airlines, by British Airways (LGW), Turkish Airlines (IST) and Vueling Airlines (BCN) flights. Freebird Airlines Europe charter flights were also announced during the winter flight schedule, and Korean Airlines charter flights from Seoul were announced during November.
