Dubrovnik, one of the leading cities on the list of romantic destinations in the world, welcomed by traditional Indian greeting Rishi and Shilpa who have chosen historical Dubrovnik as a location for their three-day enchanting wedding.
300 guests from India and worldwide visited Dubrovnik and they all travelled from afar to spend the day of their dreams with the happy couple.
The sensational wedding arranged by Dubrovnik event, held according to traditional Hindu customs, started on Thursday, June 14 by a welcome cocktail party on the galleon Karaka where they danced till early morning hours. The celebration continued on June 15 when the rocky beach of Hotel Rixos Libertas served as the setting for the mehndi or the henna ceremony during which young Rishi chose her decorations for her palms and feet, a ceremony that symbolizes fertility and love.
Painted Rishi joined her guests in Sangeet ceremony where the couple prepared for their special day. Folklore troupe Linđo presented traditional dances from Dubrovnik region while numerous guests enjoyed in superb specialties prepared by executive chef Özgür Donertas and Rixos Libertas gastro team.
This unique wedding, its carefully chosen choreography and rich decorations with more than 1000 floral bouquets resembled a theatre spectacle with the couple and their guests as lead performers.
Dubrovnik proved to be one of the leading wedding destinations, a fact which was recognized by many foreign media as well.
