Dubrovnik’s garden, the Trsteno Arboretum opens its doors to visitors free of charge on Tuesday 13th and Wednesday 14th November.
The arboretum is the oldest in this part of the word, founded by the Gozze Family in the 15th century. A rich program awaits guests over the two days with a lecture at 11 am on Tuesday on the legal protection of cultural and historical heritage followed by a tour of the park.
On Wednesday from 11 am to 12 30 pm a lecture on the flora and vegetation of the Arboretum with particular regard to the importance of the oldest plant specimens will be held.
The restoration of the historic olive grove, after the fire in 2000, will also be presented.
