“According to their 2021 booking program, the world’s largest tour operators, TUI, placed Croatia at the high second place of the most sought-after destinations on the Austrian market,” said Branimir Tončinić, the director of the Croatian National Tourist Board in Vienna.
“We are extremely glad that the TUI research confirms our previous analyses and estimates, and are optimistic that vaccines and improved testing opportunities will also give a greater sense of security among guests,” Tončinić adds.
The TUI analysis also shows that during the corona crisis, the use of personal means of transport had increased among travellers with flexibility becoming more important than ever before. The bookings made so far show greater interest in higher category hotels and packages with various benefits such as extra nights, higher category rooms, free transfers, etc.
The TUI Survey on the most wanted summer destinations from their 2021 program was also broadcasted by several popular Austrian portals such as Traveler-online.at, Oe24.at, diepresse.at and others.
