Valamar hotels have adopted 42 dolphins in the Adriatic sea as part of the ‘meetINblue‘ program of responsible business tourism. Valamar donated 700 kn from every business meeting or congress held at a Valamar hotel that was attended by 100 people or more as part of the program and was able to adopt the dolphins with the money collected.
This year’s successful congress season has meant that Valamar donated a total of 30,000 kn to the Blue Planet institute which is based on the island of Losinj. The Blue Planet institute for research and sea protection is working to raise awareness of environmental protection and will use some of the donation to improve their education centre.
