Dubrovnik Summer Festival is officially closed this Sunday, once again with spectacular evening to remember the seventy years of one of the most important cultural happenings in Croatia and the region. Worldwide known, Dubrovnik Summer Festival is a gathering of music, art, performance and theater in one, a unique cultural experience.
Traditionally, a grand closing concert is held on 25 August, this year with the Croatian Radio and Television Symphony Orchestra and the talented percussionist Simone Rubino under the baton of maestro Enrico Dindo, while
the impressive programme consisted of Boris Papandopulo’s Overture for the Amphitryon opera, Avner Dorman’s concert for percussion and orchestra Frozen in Time and Maurice Ravel’s orchestration of Modest Petrovich Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition. A short closing ceremony included members of this season’s Drama and Music Festival Ensembles.
