While CNTB Campaigns on the US Market the Number of Visitors to Croatia Reaches Top Results

That the travel trends involving Croatia this season are more than excellent can be confirmed just by looking at eVisitor system data, according to which about 1.6 million arrivals and about 12 million overnight stays were realized in Croatia so far in August. That means we’ve achieved 80 percent of the results from the so far record year of 2019.

“All the results so far are the result of very good preparation by the entire tourism sector and government measures, but also the fact that our country is the safest tourist destination in the Mediterranean due to vaccinations and measures that people stick to, that being key to all further progress,” said the director of the Croatian Tourist Board Kristjan Staničić

More than a million tourists still stay in Croatia daily, 920 thousand of which are foreigners. Currently the most numerous guests are Germans alongside domestic tourists, followed by Slovenes, Poles, Austrians and Czechs.

The Croatian National Tourist Board has launched a promotional campaign on Expedia, the largest online travel platform in the US market with more than 53 million unique visitors and which has the greatest potential in further encouraging tourist traffic from this distant but very important market for Croatian tourism.

“Croatia is among the few countries that received American guests, and this year we are even more accessible to many American travel enthusiasts considering direct flights on the route New York – Dubrovnik,” Staničić added.

The activities of the Croatian National Tourist Board within this project will be carried out until the end of September, with United Airlines making sure the US is connected to Croatia with many flights from all over the United States.
