Your Black Horizon Opens Its Doors Again This Summer

Your Black Horizon, a room-sized installation comprising a thin horizontal line of light that emerges from a narrow gap in the black walls at eye level, is opening once again for everyone who happens to be on Lopud island from this Friday, May 18th.

In this breathtaking installation, the light continually changes color, passing through a full daily cycle of the colors of the local sky every fifteen minutes.

This installation is made of wood, aluminium, translucent acrylic, LED lights (red, blue, green, white) and control unit. Enjoy its scenes every day from 10 am to 7 pm. Entrance is free.

Commissioned by Thyssen-Bornemisza Art Contemporary, Your Black Horizon is housed in a pavilion designed by architect David Adjaye. The pavilion was realized on the island of San Lazzaro degli Armeni in Venice, Italy, in 2005, and moved to the Croatian island of Lopud in 2007.
