Dubrovnik Tourist Board reports excellent results for the first half of 2013 with 285,015 arrivals and 954,374 overnight stays in Dubrovnik. The figures mark a 13% increase in arrivals and 11% for room nights based on the same period last year.
Dubrovnik’s largest group of visitors hail from the UK, accounting for 14.1 % of arrivals while a huge increase of 91% and 82% has been recorded in the number of tourists from Norway and Finland visiting Dubrovnik. The city remains popular with Germans, the French and Americans as ever.
June alone saw 106,660 arrivals to the city and 403,105 overnight stays. Private accommodation appears to be a boom sector for tourism in the area with a massive 71% increase in overnight stays for the month based on figures for the same period last year.
