The exhibition of one of the most authentic painters of Dubrovnik, Josip Pino Trostmann, entitled Dubrovnik from Sveti Jakov with Two Palm Trees, opened on 13 July at the Sponza Palace Atrium and will stay open until 4 August.
His first exhibition that was part of the Dubrovnik Summer Festival programme was launched on the same date eight years ago at the same location. A Dash of History takes you right to that exhibition opening!
This great artist has remained faithful to Dubrovnik and its well-known motifs which reappear in his cycles: Minčeta Fort, Fort of St John, Church of St Blaise, Kono quarter, terraces and pergolas of Dubrovnik.
This year Josip Pino TROSTMANN celebrates his 80th birthday and 55th anniversary of graduation from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb.
