After the opening ceremony of the Summer Festival it is always interesting to pop up on the Fine Art Gallery terrace to a reception traditionally held in order to watch the fireworks. The Mayor, Mr Andro Vlahušić, hosted the reception for Croatian president, Mr Ivo Josipović and many other celebrities and dignitaries. They all enjoyed the fireworks from the terrace that gives the most magnificent views over Old Town Dubrovnik.
The dynamics of the fireworks were in sync with music, a piece called Transylvanian Horses from Van Helsing album by composer Alan Silvestri.
Beside the Fine Art Gallery, local residents and tourist enjoyed the spectacle from Porporela Pier, Komarda, Banje Beach, Fort Revelin, Panorama, Srđ Hill, Park Orsula…
