As each year, since 2009, European Best Destinations, a EU organization created to promote tourism in Europe in partnership with the EDEN network created by the European Commission and more than 300 European tourism offices, organizes the biggest competition of tourism in Europe, the election of the European Best Destination.

The 10th edition of this event will take place between the 15th January and 5th February 2019 and will gather millions of worldwide travelers.
Beside being nominated for the best destination, this picturesque yet modern little getaway was also nominated as the Croatian nominee for the International Golden Flower Award 2019.
The Konavle Municipality and the Konavle Municipality Tourist Board presented the offer @ the 25th International Tourism, Film and Landscape Fair and the 16th presentation of the Croatian Candidates for the International Golden Flower Award.
At the closing event of the event Cavtat was nominated and presented as a Croatian candidate for this valuable international award, conducted by the international organization ‘Communities in Bloom’, headquartered in Canada.
