Sunday afternoon in Dubrovnik’s Old Harbour was a real spectacle thanks to the water polo Wild League final. The stands quickly filled and boats full of fans arrived from around noon to secure a good viewing point. Mlini’s Fun H2o arrived with an army of fans in orange to take on Kamen Mali from Cavtat in Blue. With a final score of 6:5 after a nail biting match, Kamen Mali took the champion’s trophy, the first time in the league’s 30 year history that it has left the City of Dubrovnik.
Following the match the players from both teams headed to the steps of the Church of St. Blaise to recieve their medals and trophies. The replica sailing ship Karaka then took the players to Mlini where they were greeted with fireworks and songs before heading off to Cavtat, home of the champions.
