Children opened the 3rd Dubrovnik Film Festival

The program of 3rd Dubrovnik film festival for children and youth of the Mediterranean has started yesterday. Its first projection was in the category ‘Children choose’ .
Pupils from elementary schools Marin Getaldic, Zaton and Orasac enjoyed watching and evaluating fifteen animated films: Suma/The Forest (SAF Čakovec, Croatia), Letter (Animation School, Slovenia), Macka/Cat (FKVK Zapresic, Croatia), The Forest Keepers (CineClub de avance, Portugal), Love of Klepetan and Malena (C Lukas, Croatia), I dream … (6th H.S. Patras, Greece), Full Moon (CTK Osijek, Croatia), Pieces of Barcelona (Modiband, Spain), The Player (Cakovec, Croatia), Nevera (NS Dubrava, Croatia), Topoglavci (ZVVIKS, Slovenia), Weeds in love (OS Banovici, Bosnia and Herzegovina), Welcome to Sibenik (OS Juraj Sizgoric, Croatia), One Team (Ahmed El Aswah, Egypt) and At the museum (VANIMA, Croatia).
Although children had to choose and range movies from 1 to 5, their laughter and interest in the presented movies have shown that their genuine ratings were much higher. Kids were delighted with the work of their colleagues, but also with the fact that they got to be the jury for one day. Except for projections, children were able to attend two different workshops: Animated film workshops and a one-minute film workshop.
