Croatian South Breaks Tourism Record! We had More Guests Than in 2014

According to the announcements of Dubrovnik-Neretva County, during 2015 Dubrovnik-Neretva County made a new record seven percent more arrivals and four percent more overnight stays than in the previous year. Only in December, they say, Dubrovnik and its surroundings had 22 percent more arrivals and 13 percent more overnight stays.

In December, our county registered 17,521 arrivals and 44,439 overnight stays, which is an increase in arrivals of 22 percent and 13 percent in overnight stays compared to December 2014. In 2015, we registered 1,490,973 arrivals and 6,681,510 overnight stays, which is an increase in arrivals of seven percent, and 4 percent in overnight stays compared to the same period in 2014.

Most overnights were made by tourists from the United Kingdom, Germany, Croatia, France, Polland, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, the USA, Italy and Norway. According to the Tourist Board the increase reflected on both – hotels (1 percent), and private accommodations (10 percent).
