According to Alabama Local news site al.com, Katherine Levin from Huntsville is one of 2Cello’s biggest and possibly most grateful fans. After attending an Elton John concert where the popular Croatian duo were a support act, Levine was so impressed by the duo’s pop interpretations of rock classics that she started to listen to their album at home.
After several weeks of listening to the CD on rotation Levine noticed that she had lost some weight, initially ten pounds. The Huntsville native claims her appetite reduced and she had better portion control over the food she ate compared to before listening to the CD, with the music the only change to her day to day routine.
The duo have performed on hit show Glee and duetted with stars such as Leona Lewis, Red Hot Chilli Peppers and George Michael. Since realising the supposed positive effect the band were having Levine has been to see them twice more in concert, once in Las Vegas and in Alexandria. Tomorrow night will see the super fan take 49 of her friends to see the cellists perform at the Von Braun Center Mark C. Smith Concert Hall as her weight loss has reached the 100 pound mark.
