In the New Year 2016, Dubrovnik has traditionally entered with DuRun10K marathon that takes place on the first day of January. The race started on Stradun with more than 100 runners from the entire world. Dino Bosnjak from Velika Gorica won the race, second place went to Gregor Laszlo from Hungary, and the third was Sasa Stolic.
In the women’s cathegory first place went to Mateja Parlov from Zagreb, second place to Matea Matosevic (Zagreb), and the third to Marija Vrajic from Osijek.
