Community spirit was on display in the form of green t shirts in Zupa, just outside of Dubrovnik, on Sunday. The annual ‘eko-cross’ charity run organised by local volunteer association ‘Kurenat’ gathered 130 runners in Mandaljena who did their bit for charity by taking part. The t shirts were sold at 40 HRK each, with the money raised from the event going to a local family in need.
All ages took part in the race, from babies being pushed in prams, to small children and adults. The course saw them race through Kupari and along the sea front in Srebreno to cross the finish line in the local park. Medals were handed out to the fastest in each category and tombola prizes for those lucky enough. A great afternoon was had by all with the park’s new summer stage or ‘gumno’ put to great use for prize giving. Take a look at our photo gallery to see the competitors taking part and celebrating.
