The exhibition Dalmatia, a view at the world by the famous French photographer Marc Riboud, has been opened as part of the 66th Dubrovnik Summer Festival in the Sponza palace atrium.
The exhibition is being held as part of the Rendez-vous, festival of France in Croatia. With 15 famous works of this celebrated, 92-year-old photographer, who worked for Magnum and authored numerous books and monographs, to Croatian public will, for the first time, be presented 30 photographs that Marc Riboud made in Dalmatia during his stay in 1953. After Dalmatia, he visited the Middle and the Far East, the Soviet Union and Algeria, where he documented the war for independence. At the end of the 60s, he was one of the few photographers who manage to get into North and South Vietnam.
Exhibition Marc Riboud: Dalmatia, a view at the world in the Sponza Palace will stay open until 13th of August.
