Members of the Havas Voyage Association arrived in Dubrovnik yesterday for their annual meeting which gathers the largest travel agents in France operating in Croatia.
The hosts of the congress made up of 460 attendees, is the Croatian National Tourist Board in cooperation with the Dubrovnik Tourist Board at city and county level. Around 240 of the guests are foreign directors of travel agencies and their business partners.
Over three days the guests will tour the City and wider county (Ston and Peljesac) as well as taking part in workshops and meetings. Attendees will become familiar with the cultural heritage of the area along with the eno-gastronomic offer of the region.
In the period January-October of this year 400,019 French tourists visited Croatia, a fiver per cent increase on last year. This accounted for 1,622,735 room nights, a 4 per cent increase on 2011’s figures.
