This year’s Good Food Festival will bring something completely new to guests and locals. The festival will last four days with seventeen different events – of which we emphasize the fair and eight workshops. Three hotels, five wine bars, and twenty-eight restaurants from all over the city will participate in this event. Guests will be able to taste specialties typical for our region, taste regional wines, participate in culinary workshops and programs such as “dinner with the famous chef” and in workshops where they will be able to prepare Dubrovnik delicacies. Special menus will be prepared in Dubrovnik restaurants as well as “Eat & Walk” culinary tours and “Sweet Tooth map” – map for gourmets, presentation of tourist offer and gastronomy of Spanish town of Gijon and the Slovenian regions Gorenjska.
Director of the Tourist Board of Dubrovnik Romana Vlasic emphasized that the Good Food Festival Dubrovnik is a crucial event for the autumn period of the tourist season, because it represents additional attraction for visitors and extends the tourist season.
With this year’s Good Food Festival Dubrovnik Tourist Board has also prepared a special edition of mini-cookbook titled “Dubrovnik – a taste of the past,” by the author Josip Zvela, based on traditional recipes from Dubrovnik’s past which were adapted for modern ingredients and cooking. Presentation of the mini-cookbooks will take place on 23rd of October in the House of Marin Drzic.
Twenty-eight restaurants are participating this year – Amfora, Banje Beach, Oyster&Sushi Bota, Chihuahua , Culto, Dalmatino, Domino, Eden, Gusta me, Klarisa, Kopun, Mimoza, Moskar , Nishta, Orsan, Pantarul, Poklisar, Pupo, Riva Gravossa, Rozario, Ragusa2,Sebastian, Shizuku, Stara loza, Taj Mahal (grad i Lero), Tezoro, Spaghetteria Toni, and five wine bars – Wine bar Razonoda, D’vino, Grabovac, Matusko and Wine bar Skar on the Lapad coast. Three hotel are hosting the program of the Good Food Festival – Hotel Hilton Imperial is organizing dinner with a famous Chef and “Sweet afternoon in Imperial”; Hotel Lapad will host the Spanish city of Gijon’s cuisine and Rixos Libertas the closing event of the festival – Elegant Tea Time with the concert of Croatian singer Danijela Pintaric.
