Japan declared the 20th of January as the 2Cellos day!

Stjepan Hauser and Luka Sulic, better knows as 2 Cellos, celebrated their fourth birthday today. As a gift they got a whole day in Japan named after them. Namely, the 20th of January has been declared a day of 2Cellos. It was the perfect opportunity for Luka and Stjepan to spend some fun time with their fans.
On this day, four years ago, 2Cellos appeared on YouTube with a video for Smooth Criminal, cover of Michael Jackson’s song. Shortly after they themselves uploaded the full video, they won millions of fans and started a worldwide career that has been lasting for four years. The Japanese audience was quickly delighted with their music.
That is why, tomorrow, 2Cellos will release first copies of their new album ‘Celloverse’ in a special edition for the Japanese market, while the rest of the world won’t be able to listen to their new album until the 27th of January.
‘We celebrated at the Tokyo Tower together with our fans and the media! These four years have been a complete madhouse to us, but this is only a preparation for the real madness that is yet to come’
said the birthday boys. The new album was announced with a great hit and a music video for the Avicii’s song ‘Wake Me Up’.
