Sunday morning saw Dubrovnik Airport welcome its millionth passenger of 2013, Alexandra Sandimirova from Russia. Alexandra arrived in Dubrovnik with Aeroflot from Moscow, beating last year’s record by arriving five days earlier than 2012’s millionth passenger.
”I’m so pleased to be here and I’m very excited- it’s as though I’m celebrating another birthday with all of these presents from you!” Alexandra told representatives of the Dubrovnik Airport and Dubrovnik Tourist Board who greeted her with a bouquet and gifts.
Alexandra told press that while she was only visiting for four days this time, she would be returning in September with her mother, ”I wish even more celebrations for you, I wish you have ten million passengers an more!”
