The Croatian Ministry Of Tourism has announced that 26 free wireless hotspots will be launched in the Dubrovnik-Neretva County as of July 1st.
The Ministry’s new project, ‘Hotspot Croatia’ will fund the 26 locations to a total of 142,655 HRK. Fourteen wireless hotspots will be launched in the wider county area, eight within the City of Dubrovnik, two on the island of Korcula and one in Ston.
The aim of the project is to promote free internet access in tourist destinations as a way of promoting Croatia as a destination and attracting new guests, therefore improving Croatia’s standing in the tourism market.
Visitors will be able to check local tourist board websites for information on where to find their nearest hotspot once the program is launched. www.justdubrovnik.com will list the hotspot locations for the Dubrovnik County as soon as they are confirmed.
