Marking the 100 years that passed since the birth of Marguerite Duras, one of the most interesting people of 20th century French literature, Dubrovnik Library organized a lecture entitled ‘The desire, passion and violence in the work of Marguerite Duras’. The lecture will take place within the Croatian Book Month 2014.
The celebration of Marguerite Duras’ birthday was opened by the lecture of prof. dr. sc. Ingrid Safranek, a lecturer, essayist and literary translator, followed by Boris Jakesevic’s photo exhibition named ‘Vietnam from the North to the South’.
