The City of Paris will either name a street, square or other public place after the great Dubrovnik citizen Ruđer Bošković.
The announcement was made yesterday by French MP Patrick Bloche, Commission President for culture and education, at a meeting held in cooperation with the Croatian government ahead of EU entry.
Bošković is a celebrated Croatian mathematician, astronomer, physicist and philosopher from the eighteenth century. The decision comes fifteen years after the unveiling of a plaque in his honour by the Almae Matris Croaticae Alumni association.
