Dubrovnik’s most popular and one of the most important writers, Marin Držić, was presented this Friday in London on the ocassion of the 450th anniversary of the death of our prominent author.
His play ‘Dundo Maroje’ – Uncle Maroye – has been translated into English by Filip Krenus. This presentation of ‘Dubrovnik’s Shakespeare’ as Marin Držić is known, is organized by the House of Marin Držić, co-organized by Istrobooks, British-Croatian Society and Honey-Tongued Theatre Productions, and with the support of the City of Dubrovnik and Dubrovnik Tourist Board.
Istrobooks director Susan Curtis edited the English translation of Uncle Maroye, the book which was presented by Filip Krenus, Nikša Matić, the director of the House of Marin Držić, Pavo Jančić, the chairman of the House of Marin Držić Board Direction and Susan Curtis.
