Reaching New Heights

A new rock climbing wall has transformed an unused space in Kupari in to a must visit place. Climber’s club ‘Spider’ has installed the new wall, 4.5 metres high as part of their 10th anniversary celebrations. There’s no need to worry about falling from a great height as the cushioned floor will ease any landing. The ‘Spiders’ advise that reaching the top on your first attempt is a near impossibility and takes everyone a couple of attempts to master, meaning you’re sure to visit again.

The club celebrated its 10th birthday on the 10th of January and are thrilled at their achievement of bringing the first climbing wall to Dubrovnik through their own hard work and commitment. The club was founded in 2002 under the initiative of several people who enthusiastically wanted to create the first club of its kind in the Dubrovacko- Netetvanska County. Their primary aim was to promote  alpinism, sport climbing as well as outdoor climbing on dry rock. Everyone is welcome to try their hand at the sport says club member Igor, so what are you waiting for?
