It’s almost time for the newest season of HBO’s hit series Game of Thrones. Fans were treated to the official trailer for season four on Sunday night and those of you familiar with Dubrovnik will have spotted the Old Town as a location in several scenes.
The newest season includes a royal wedding, shot at Gradac Park above the Old Town. Referred to as the ‘Red Wedding’, see if you can spot the fountain in the park in the party scenes. Scenes shot near the Belvedere Hotel facing Lokrum show a sword fight and the quarry in Zupa makes another appearance.
Season 4 is sure to generate even more interest in Dubrovnik as a holiday destination for fans of the show, with special guided tours already available.
