Climatologically speaking, on the first day of March we stepped into spring time. Temperatures are following the season, and according to the Croatian Meteorological and Hydrological Service the lowest morning temperature on the Adriatic will range between 7 and 12 degrees Celsius and the highest daily temperature will go up to 16 degrees Celsius.
The ‘right’ spring arrives during the evening of March 20. Until then, let’s find out the difference between the astronomical and climatic seasons. Under the term seasons we mark astronomical seasons that depend on the mutual position of Earth and the Sun. The exact start of the astronomical seasons is calculated by astronomers. Therefore, they can still be called ‘the calendar seasons’ as they alternate during one calendar year.
