Today sees the start of the International Historic Towns Conference which is being held at the Hotel Rixos Libertas in Dubrovnik. The two day conference is being held with the aim of delivering smart, sustainable and inclusive growth in Historic Towns and is organised by the City of Dubrovnik, Heritage Europe, the Croatian and Turkish Associations of Historical Towns and the Council of Europe.
The conference themes will focus on European Union strategy for 2013-2020 which will determine how funds are allocated and how to harness them as a key funding source for historical towns. 19 Croatian towns are represented at the conference which finishes tomorrow.
