Leading sports marketing and sports sponsorship Conference in the region, SPORTO 2014, nominated water polo club Jug CO as Croatian sport brand of the year. Water polo club Jug CO has been nominated along the hockey club Medvescak and other three football clubs – Hajduk, Dinamo and Rijeka.
‘We are in a renowned society. As you can see there are no basketball, handball, nor volleyball players in the competition… and except for Jug, there are no water polo players either. This nomination is a recognition of our work, club organization, public relations and relations with our sponsors’, said Ognjen Krzic, the club’s director.
SPORTO 2014 is a conference that evaluates recognition, result, global context, public perception (appeal the club has), personality, attractiveness of the image of the club, quality and quantity of public appearances. The official award ceremony will take place on 20th of November in Portoroz. In fact, the ceremony will be the culmination of all-day events during which lectures of several world-renowned experts in marketing and sponsorship in sport will also be recognized.
