Although the City of Dubrovnik cancelled cooperation with Sarajevo Film Festival in the organization of Dubrovnik Film Meeting, after the SFF finishes, some 30 visitors will arrive to Dubrovnik, including British Oscar winning actor Jeremy Irons.
– Guests of the 18th Sarajevo Film Festival are coming to visit Dubrovnik for two days. We are truly sorry that the citizens and guests of Dubrovnik will not be able to see the planned films since the program was cancelled by the City of Durbovnik in the last moment. We are pleased that many sponsors, partners and friends determined that our visit to Dubrovnik remains a tradition helped us to visit our city-friend. I strongly believe that project Dubrovnik Film Meeting has its future and that it will be realized the following year, said the director of Sarajevo Film Festival, Mirsad Purivatra announcing their arrival to Dubrovnik.
In 2005, guests of Sarajevo Film Festival visited Dubrovnik for the first time as part of the project Dubrovnik Film Meeting. Some of the most significant superstars that have visited Dubrovnik as guests of Sarajevo Film Ferstival so far are actors Nick Nolte, Steve Buscemi, Kevin Spacey, Gillian Anderson, Mickey Rourke, Morgan Freeman; producers and direcotrs Cat Villers, Terry George, Danis Tanović, Jasmila Žbanić, Darren Aronofsky as well as many other famous actors and directors of Hollywood A production.
