According to evidence from local tourist boards there were 84,436 arrivals to Dubrovnik in October accounting for 325,251 room nights. Based on October 2011 that means a 30 per cent increase in arrivals and 32 per cent increase in room nights.
From year start the overall increase in arrivals stands at 10 per cent, 12 per cent in room nights. Of those arrivals, an increase of 13 per cent in foreign visitors was recorded. The most frequent overnight visitors are from Great Britain, Germany, France and Poland. In terms of choice of accommodation private accommodation has since the biggest increase in visitors at 16 per cent, camp sites at 14 and hotels a 9 per cent increase on last year’s figures.
