After a two-year process of renewal, a brand new and shiny Tourist Information Center of island Lopud began to work this August.
The new office is a historically protected monument building, and the Dubrovnik Tourist Board brokered a concession for a period of twenty years for the use of the building. Old TIC Lopud was set in the library and reading room on Lopud, also providing information services to tourists and visitors to the island.
The value of this investment and renovation is around 600 thousand Kunas and this modern furnished and equipped TIC Lopud is an excellent complement to the overall tourism offer of Lopud – the most visited island of the Elafiti.
From the beginning of the 2016 until late August, 9403 tourists who have made 57,742 overnight stays were on Lopud. Most of them are from the United Kingdom, Norway, Germany, Finland, and Croatia.
Members of the Tourism Council and the Supervisory Board of the Dubrovnik Tourist Board, local media representatives and employees of the Dubrovnik Tourist Board visited the renewed TIC on Lopud last week, and the director of the Dubrovnik Touristic Board, Romana Vlašić, thanked the expert services of the City of Dubrovnik, and anyone else included in this great story.
