Dubrovnik has once again welcomed one of the greatest names in basketball history. Earvin “Magic” Johnson has returned to the city he clearly never tires of visiting, once again accompanied by his wife, Cookie Johnson.
The NBA legend shared moments from their latest Dubrovnik stay with millions of followers around the world, offering another glimpse of the city through the eyes of one of its most famous returning guests.
Magic and Cookie enjoyed an evening with family and friends at the celebrated Nautika Restaurant, set beside the historic city walls and the Adriatic Sea.
“We had an amazing dinner last night at Nautika Restaurant in Dubrovnik, Croatia!” Johnson wrote alongside photographs from the evening.
The images show the couple and their companions enjoying the atmosphere, with Fort Lovrijenac and the Adriatic providing a spectacular backdrop.
A Favourite Stop for Magic and Cookie
This is at least Johnson’s fourth publicly documented visit to Dubrovnik, and once again he is exploring the city in the company of his wife.
The couple previously visited Dubrovnik together, including in 2023, when they also dined at Nautika and praised its food, hospitality and unforgettable views.
His latest return makes one thing clear: for Magic Johnson and Cookie, Dubrovnik is no longer simply another destination on a Mediterranean itinerary. It has become a place they genuinely enjoy returning to.
The former Los Angeles Lakers star has developed a strong affection for Croatia over the years, regularly praising its natural beauty, cuisine and hospitality on social media. His posts introduce Dubrovnik and the Croatian coast to a vast international audience.
Johnson is widely regarded as one of the finest basketball players of all time. During his legendary career with the Los Angeles Lakers, he won five NBA championships and three NBA Most Valuable Player awards. His role in the celebrated 1992 US Olympic “Dream Team” further cemented his place in sporting history.
Today, he remains a globally recognised entrepreneur, public figure and basketball ambassador.
And judging by the smiles from his latest evening with Cookie, Dubrovnik has once again worked its magic on Magic.
