For the third year running Dubrovnik has welcomed the arts festival ‘Third Ear Festival’, a volunteer project organised by local youth association Udruga Mladih Bonsai and Dubrovnik Volunteer Centre. This year’s festival is dedicated to Nordic and Scandinavian culture and will take place over five days.
Visitors can today enjoy art installations at Pile Gate, Danish film at Kino Sloboda and a Finnish folk concert at Lazareti on Friday night. These are just some of the highlights of the program that closes on Sunday.
Wednesday night saw the festival’s photography exhibition open at Kino Sloboda in the Old Town. Angu Motzfeldt’s work was presented at the official festival opening under the title’ The Inuits and The Influence of Modern Europe’. The exhibition opening was followed by a performance by Finnish solo violinist Sara Pajunen.
As all the events are run by volunteers, entrance is free to all workshops, exhibitions and lectures. For the festival program see our photo gallery or click here.
